Aberystwyth's hospital serves a wide surrounding area, although its comparatively small size does result in some patients being referred to hospitals in Carmarthen and Swansea. A 24 hour accident and emergency service is provided.

This NHS clinic concentrates on eyecare, podiatry, family planning and sexual health. They run a family planning drop-in service, and a 'GUM' clinic.
